On December 27, 2023, the technical opening of the 1st phase of the plant for the production of caustic soda and chlorine-containing products of Topan Chemical Industries LLP took place on the territory of subzone No. 1 of the Aktau Seaport SEZ.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Department of Industrial and Innovative Development of the Mangystau region and SEZ Aktau Seaport JSC, employees of the enterprise.

The project provides for the production of caustic soda, hydrochloric acid, calcium chloride, sodium hypochlorite.

The volume of investments in the construction of the 1st phase of the plant amounted to 6 billion tenge with the creation of 50 new jobs, the project capacity will be the production of caustic soda - up to 40,000 tons, hydrochloric acid - up to 60,000 tons, calcium chloride - up to 20,000 tons, sodium hypochlorite – up to 4,700 tons per year.
