On December 15 of this year, the grand opening of the polymer packaging plant on the territory of the Aktau Seaport SEZ took place.

The opening ceremony of the enterprise was attended by the first deputy akim of the region Mendibaev A.M., Deputy akim of the Mangistau region Orynbasarov B.T., head of the Investment and Tourism Development Department of the Mangistau region Mustapaeva V.T., representatives of the Akimat of Aktau, deputies and employees of the enterprise. First Deputy Akim of the region Mendibaev A.M. congratulated the audience on the 30th anniversary of independence and the opening of the plant and wished success in work.

During the event, the founder of the company Dostyk Polymer Plus LLP N.M. Karas introduced the technological process of polymer packaging production.

A feature of the project is the possibility of import substitution and export of products outside the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan. It is planned to produce several types of plastic packaging in mass production and at the request of consumers, specific packaging will be produced.

32 jobs will be created to work at the plant, including from among the unemployed youth.

The project will give impetus to the development of the food industry in the region, as well as to the improvement of the socio-economic situation of the Mangystau region.

It should be noted that to date, 19 projects for oil production, refining, construction, transport and logistics, construction of tourism facilities are being successfully implemented in the special economic zone "Aktau Seaport".

Over the 18 years of operation of the special economic zone, investors from 7 countries (China, Great Britain, Azerbaijan, Singapore, Turkey, Germany, Iran) and local investors have invested 244 billion tenge in projects on the territory of the SEZ. Over these years, products worth almost 395 billion tenge have been produced. Since the creation of the special economic zone, tax payments in the amount of 52.1 billion tenge have been paid to the treasury. More than 3,000 permanent jobs have been created.
