Growing interest of foreign investors in Mangystau region

In recent years, the number of investors willing to invest in the region’s economy has been steadily increasing. One of them is the Chinese oil service company “Blac Stone”. The company is planning to establish a new production facility in the “Aktau Seaport” Special Economic Zone. The project envisages the construction of a plant for the production of chemical reagents used in crude oil treatment. To this end, a delegation led by the company’s CEO met with representatives of the SEZ and discussed the project’s potential. For now, this is just an introductory and preliminary meeting. If the project is implemented, it will provide a strong boost to Mangystau’s economy and create new jobs for local residents. It should be noted that the Aktau Seaport SEZ offers a number of benefits: companies are exempt from corporate income tax, property tax, land tax, import VAT, and customs duties. In addition, full administrative and technical support is provided for projects. As of today, 28 enterprises are operating in the SEZ. In the first half of 2025, the volume of attracted investments in the Aktau Seaport SEZ reached 10.2 billion tenge. The volume of manufactured products and services amounted to 34.5 billion tenge, tax revenues – 3.2 billion tenge, and exports totaled 72 million tenge. About 2,500 new jobs have been created.
