The deputies of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan arrived in the Mangystau region with a working trip. Today, Akim of the region Eraly Tugzhanov received the deputies: Mikhail Bortnik, Baktybay Chelpakov, Dulat Kustavletov and others.

During the meeting, the Head of the region informed the deputies about the results of the social and economic development of the region for 2017.

"We fulfilled the production volume in 2017 by 100%. The volume of investments increased from 82.2% to 104% in comparison with the previous year.

All the previously planned social and economic projects are realized. There are big projects that can be continued further. One of them is the project "Nur Capital". This unique project, which gives businessmen a loan of 1%, received the support of President Nursultan Nazarbayev. Also we provided transshipment of over 1 million 200 thousand tons of cargo in the port of Kuryk in 2017. A new automobile ferry complex has been commissioned; this is an additional 2 million tons of cargo annually" - said Erali Tugzhanov.

Also, the Head of the region told the Senate deputies about the beginning of the reconstruction of the "Atazhol" road with the aim of developing domestic tourism. Eraly Tugzhanov noted that this reconstruction work is only one of many projects where Akimat of the Mangystau region cooperates with the Ministry of investments and development with the support of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

When asked by deputies about the remediation of the tailings of Koshkarat, Eraly Tugzhanov replied that more than 17 billion tenge was allocated from the republican budget for these purposes. Now, in order to stabilize the liquid phase, 7.7 million cubic meters of the purified water from KOS-1 are discharged into the tailing dump. "In addition, to stabilize the microclimate, ecological and sanitary-hygienic state of the village of Baskuduk, the creation of a green zone with a total area of ​​8.2 hectares began. It is also planned to create a green protective belt with a length of 3 km" - said Akim Eraly Tugzhanov.
